Payment Options
CostThe cost of orthodontic treatment varies according to the severity of the patient’s problem. We will inform you of this cost at the time of your first exam in our office if treatment is recommended. The fee our office charges covers all the procedures and materials used to successfully treat your particular problem. We do not charge extra if treatment takes longer than the original estimate. We have payment plans to suit different budgets, including a no-down-payment option. We also offer extended payment options through third-party financing. We do accept assignment from most insurance plans, and file the necessary paperwork to the insurance company. Our goal is to customize your payment plan to fit your individualized needs. Fees In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
At your initial phone call, if you have insurance, we will ask for your complete dental/orthodontic insurance information so that we may assist you in determining the coverage you have available. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is ultimately responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf. Unlike insurance coverage for regular dental treatment, most orthodontic coverage typically has a lifetime maximum benefit for each insured individual for orthodontic services rendered. The benefit will be subtracted from your total treatment fee with the balance arranged for you to pay. Your insurance benefit is generally paid monthly, not in a lump sum payment. It is important that you retain your eligibility throughout your orthodontic treatment. For medical reimbursement accounts, such as Flex Accounts, we can provide a copy of your account for you to submit to your employer. |
